ISO Investors Marketing our RollerBall Game .. tested in the Denver area
Americans are playing more games than ever before. For whatever reason, the need to be competitive is as old as life itself. The element of motion, and particularly the speed of that motion has intrigued mankind for just as long. And for some unknown psychological reasons, people are fascinated with speed - speed of all kinds and in all varieties, whether fast cars, fast boats, or fast games.
RollerBall is one such game, as it comprises power and finesse, tradition and the future, imitating the possibility of danger under what are actually very controlled conditions. This new table sport is enjoyable for the novice as well as the experienced player, encompassing a wide range of competitive levels.
RollerBall, unlike the movie, is played on a table-top surface of specific dimensions.. Two specially made paddles are used by each player in such a manner as to propel a 1" steel ball into his opponents goal. There are three goals for each player of which he must try and protect with his two paddles. This is where the fun begins.
The rate of speed the ball travels, the ability the players must have to control the ball, and the rules governing the course of play, all contain determining factors as to how well the game is played and of course, who wins and, who loses.
Strategically, RollerBall is as fundamental and basic as boxing, comprising everything from proper foot stances to power punches to hooks, to completely trying to out-wit your opponent and to fool him into submission. Deception is a key element in determining who wins and who loses.
